Annotation: Using an interdisciplinary approach and Rosstat data for 2017–2024, the innovation environment of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation is assessed. Resource specialization, investment polarization, low innovation activity, depopulation, weakness of the transportation system and innovation infrastructure, and high environmental burden are identified.
