Annotation: This paper examines the impact of digitalization of business processes on strengthening technological sovereignty and achieving sustainable development of metallurgical enterprises. The importance of digitalization as a key tool for reducing dependence on foreign IT solutions, increasing operational efficiency and ensuring the economic security of industrial areas is indicated domestic digital platforms. Using the example of the Vologda Oblast, an example of the introduction of digitalization and its impact on the development of single-industry towns is considered. The conclusion is made about the need to synchronize the implementation of digitalization and regional development programs.
