Annotation: The article presents the results of an analysis of the dynamics of the scientific and technological potential of 13 leading regions of Russia for the period 2022-2024. The relevance of the study is due to the need to assess the effectiveness of the existing model of spatial development of science and identify key imbalances that hinder the formation of a sustainable national innovation system. The object of the study is a set of constituent entities of the Russian Federation that occupy leading positions in the National Science and Technology Ranking.
