Annotation: This article analyzes the dynamics and reasons for the closure of individual entrepreneurs over the period 2014–2024. Cross-country comparisons of the small business contribution to GDP are provided. Prospects for increasing the share of small businesses in Russia's GDP are highlighted in the context of implementing new national development goals.
