Annotation: The authors note that the process of digitalization has spread widely to all areas of human life and has become an integral part of everyday existence, transforming traditional models, restructuring the internal organization of editorial offices, and changing professional roles. The editorial and publishing process has ceased to be a narrowly functional chain of preparation for publication. It has become a step-by-step plan for implementing the life cycle, from project to distribution (or even recycling) of the copy and/or archiving the electronic file on a special server, where key stages are linked to digital tools and platforms. At the production level, this is expressed in the mass adoption of digital layout, automated workflows for preparing electronic and audio versions; at the distribution level, in the dominance of marketplaces. The traditional, linear chain of material preparation is shifting towards a continuous, multi-threaded, and cross-platform cycle. Today, the editorial process functions as an integrated digital ecosystem where content is created, adapted, and distributed simultaneously across multiple channels, including websites and blogs, mobile applications, podcast platforms, video hosting services, and social media. This is facilitated by the use of digital content management systems, cloud-based collaboration tools, data processing and visualization tools, automated content distribution services, and algorithmic optimization for reach.
