Annotation: The purpose of the study is to substantiate the directions of greening transport systems for the transition to sustainable development. The methodological basis of the study is a secondary analysis and systematization of statistical data and publications reflecting the specifics of transport strategies by country. As a result of the study, the main trends in the transition from private to public transport have been identified, and the tools that contribute to the consolidation of these changes have been determined.
