Annotation: It is becoming relevant to study the dynamics of available resources, income, and consumption expenditures among large segments of the population and those specific groups that fall within the "poverty line". The aim of this thesis is to assess their margins of safety. This paper analyzes the paradoxes of poverty and their invariants globally and in Russia, and uncovers their substantive components. Conclusion: in low-resource groups, the paradoxes of poverty turn into paradoxes of resilience.
