    Annotation: The article analyzes volunteer activity among Russian youth as a form of employment based on microdata from Rosstat’s Labour Force Survey (2024). The findings show that young people’s participation in volunteering is shaped by age, gender, type of settlement, level of education, and employment characteristics, while irregular and informal forms of participation prevail. The results do not confirm a direct relationship between youth volunteering and the accumulation of human capital.
