    Annotation: This article analyzes the significance of socio-demographic policy measures for the population. The empirical basis of the study is the results of a monitoring study of the reproductive potential of residents of the Vologda Oblast conducted by the VolSC RAS (N=1,500). The article analyzes how the population assesses various government support measures for families with children, based on their desired and planned number of children. It concludes that a differentiated approach to the development of demographic policy measures is necessary.

A steady differentiation in income and medical resources, a reduction in the network of FAPs with an increase in inpatient activity, and a staff shortage were revealed. The results can be used to adjust regional health development programs.

    Annotation: A study of regional differentiation in the dependency ratio of people older and younger than working age in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation for the period 2000–2025 was conducted. Based on Rosstat data for 83 regions, the level and dynamics of particular demographic dependency ratios were analyzed. An increase in the elderly dependency ratio was found in 78 regions, along with a predominance of regions where the older population exceeds the younger population.

    Annotation: Based on an analysis of statistical data and a review of the relevant literature, an analysis of demographic indicators for the Russian Federation and CIS countries was conducted. Divergences in the demographic trajectories of the post-Soviet republics were identified. Three groups were identified: those experiencing depopulation and aging (Russia, Ukraine, Belarus), those with natural population growth and a young population (Central Asia), and an intermediate group (Moldova, Armenia, Azerbaijan). The role of migration in smoothing out these contrasts was demonstrated.
