Annotation: The study presents a database on the number of stray animals in cities of the Russian Federation for 2021-2024; correlations between the population size and the number of stray animals in a number of Russian cities were established; the hypothesis about the presence of a time lag between the data on the population size and the data on the number of stray animals that correlate with it was confirmed.
