Annotation: In the context of socio-economic differentiation of Russian regions, the analysis of the income level of the population becomes relevant. The paper is devoted to the study of the regional distribution of median incomes in 2023 based on their relationship to the cost of a fixed set of consumer goods and services. Using the method of variation series, the subjects of the Russian Federation were grouped, which showed an imbalance in the income level of the population. The work will be useful to government authorities, representatives of student and academic science.
