Annotation: The article examines the role of institutions in ensuring sustainable development in the context of increasing global changes, such as climate change, pandemics, geopolitical instability, and technological transformation. The impact of these changes on various aspects of sustainable development is analyzed. Particular attention is paid to multi-level governance, the role of the public and non-governmental sectors, and the importance of inclusive and adaptive institutions.
