Annotation: The article examines the strategic aspects of the development of regional higher education systems in the Far North regions of the Far Eastern Federal District (FEFD). A comparative analysis of national development programs and regional socio-economic development strategies of the Far North regions of the FEFD is conducted in the context of higher education development. The challenges of aligning federal and regional strategies are highlighted.
