Annotation: Abstract. This article examines the role of control and supervision in the activities of state bodies and employees as the main tool for ensuring legality, openness and efficiency in management. Various forms of control existing in Russia, such as presidential, parliamentary, prosecutorial, judicial and public, are considered. Foreign experience and the possibility of introducing digital technologies to strengthen control are also analyzed.
